Huddersfield Green Festival 2011

Well guys tomorrow is the start of Huddersfield Green Festival with stalls being held in the town centre near the town library, Nelson Mandela Square from 10am onwards.

I will be there with samples, information and on going pieces of work. As well as keeping you updated with blog posts.

Event programme:

Tuesday 29th March

- Stands area in Huddersfield Town Centre 10am-4pm
   Nelson Mandela Square (near to town library) 
- River Clean-Up 2pm - 4pm, near to Wakefield Road
   Supported by the Environmental Alliance
- Photo Competition and Green Art Exhibition
   Creative Arts Building, University of Huddersfield
   12pm -7pm
- Gig at Parish
   8.30pm Tabbed-Up

Fairtrade Cotton Lining

Currently reworking another suit jacket using black velvet and some Fairtrade cotton for replacing the lining. Same style as the one before as it received such a good response at the Fairtrade Fortnight fair. Heres a few "in progress" photos with more to come.

Here I've taken the lining out and im currently replacing parts with velvet and constructing the new lining.

Finished Suit Jacket

Fair Trade fortnight fair

Heres me with my little stall yesterday showcasing the Fair Trade materials I have and the suit I've just finished reworking. Lovely day with lots of positive feedback :)

The next event I will be attending is the Huddersfield Green Festival at the University of Huddersfield on the 31st March.
